I’ve been a long time lover of matte liquid lips and ColourPop is usually my go-to. I love the formula and honestly, there’s no beating that price point. But what I’ve never tried from ColourPop are their pressed powders, super shock shadows, and their satin lip collection.
ColourPop has been releasing new collections in specific colour ranges throughout the month of March. The one that caught my eye was the Nectar collection. I’m usually drawn to neutral colours, but there was one coral shade in the “Blow Me Away” palette that I could not resist. It is absolute FIRE.
Today I introduce you to my new Spring must-haves…
BLOW ME AWAY PALETTE $18
Brown and blue-eyed girls beware, this palette will be your new favourite throughout the Spring and Summer months. This palette comes with four press powders, each complementing one another. These shades are super creamy, highly pigmented, and truly pack a punch. This palette is so versatile that you can easily take your day-time look to a fiery fierce look for a night out. From left-right: Take a Break, Issues, Centrefold, Slim Fit.
SAILOR SUPERSHOCK $5
I’ve never tried any of the super shock shadows before, but I’ve always heard that the consistency takes a little bit of time to get used to. For instant colour pay off, use your finger to apply the shade to REALLY dazzle. This shade is so amazing and almost gives off a duo chrome finish. It’s a muted golden beige with blue reflex in it. A stunner for brown eyes.
LIKELY ULTRA SATIN LIP $6
Like the description says, I was part of the 30% already wearing it right after I got the package in the mail. For me, the picture was darker than the swatch on my lips, but still a very wearable nude even for the fairest ladies. It’s a beautiful, peach-nude colour that can easily be deepened with a grunge brown lip pencil. I loved the look with Spice by MAC. Since I’ve never tried the satin collection, I was really surprised at how comfortable it was. It lasted really well on the lips and I felt so much more comfortable with it on than I do with a matte lip. For $6, you can’t go wrong.
The big question, though. Is it worth it?
100 per cent YES. You can’t beat the price, especially for the pigmentation and good quality of the products. The total price of my purchase was $38.99, including $9.99 shipping to Canada. It was processed within the first day I placed my order, and I had my goodies within 5 days. I can’t wait to see what else ColourPop has in store for the summer.
What was your favourite from this haul? Do you want to see these bad boys in action? Let me know in the comments 🙂
